'Calvin' at 2 days of age, f 5.5.04
LSF Stop the Music
18 hours old!! For comparison, I'm 5'9" tall---look at the size of Calvin, and even at this age, how correct he is.

Calvin will do almost anything you ask of him, he'll give you 110%, and be as fresh at the end as he was at the start. He's easy on the eyes, and once he's completely shed out, he'll be a striking individual with a dark liver chestnut coat and a huge star and an impish snip.
As can be seen from the photo, Calvin is a well balanced individual, and can easily be divided into conformational 'thirds'. He also has a nice long neck, has a great shoulder and although 'altitudinally challenged' when this photo was taken, he has a good long hip and from his birth has been well muscled. He is a born athlete, with large joints, straight legs, excellent feet, and a great mind. Well over 100 pounds at birth (from a 14.1 mare) I think Calvin should mature to around 15.1 hands or more..

'Calvin's' sire, LSF Fortunate Son, has consistantly stamped his get with pretty heads: tippy ears, large expressive eyes, a dishy head and a fine muzzle. They have all been outgoing, full of energy and spirited, smart, easy to work with, have correct conformation with bodies, legs, and minds that are built to perform and to last!... Form to Function.....

LSF "CALVIN" is the barn favorite and everyone stops to pet the colt who always has his head over the stall, eyes bright with anticipation of attention. He's one of the neatest foals produced here! He's got attitude, bone, correctness, smarts, trailability and an unlimited future with the right person! Don't miss him! A video is available to serious inquiries.

This clip was shot August 14 2004 and shows off Calvin's athleticism and elegance. At four months, the world is his!
'CALVIN'S sire, LSF FORTUNATE SON, is one of the participating stallions in the prestigious 2005 NYSMHS stallion auction!!! For more information, visit the NYSMHS website at www.nysmhs.org

BORN TO RUN!

NEWS!!!
'Calvin's' full sister, LSF She's Come Undone* (purchased in October 2004 by Alicia Fraser, owner/operator of Scottfield Stables at Foxglove Farm, Montrose, PA), foaled a year earlier, was just what we hoped from the cross, so we elected to repeat it with the same specific goal in mind of combining the strong government lines of the dam (and giving the resulting foal a strong body, excellent legs and feet, stamina, powerful trot, as well as a friendly disposition and a great mind) with the Brunk lines of the sire: solid horses, built to trot and to last, with correct conformation and athletic ability. The Brunk/Government cross is known as a 'golden one' and we believe Calvin and his sister Libby are a shining example of the success that comes from thoughtful and purposful breeding towards a specific goal..

Like his 3/4 brother, LSF Fast Forward, this colt has a bright future ahead of him! Please email for more information, or better yet, come see him in person!
