'LARKYN' was Bohemian Rhapsody's first foal, and looked like a little stuffed toy when he was first spotted in the stall with his mom. We had no idea what the future held for this little foal, but he fulfilled his genetic heritage with ease and became a show horse with a hard to beat trot and a heart of gold.
When little Larkyn was let outside with his mom, he showed what he was made of, and nearly outtrotted his mom!
Not the least lacking in spirit, Larkyn displayed an extraordinarily kind disposition, and was a joy to raise and train.
This photo shows Larkyn at about 5 months of age. Structurally quite correct, overflowing with Morgan type, Larkyn was just what we had hoped this cross would produce, and Rhapsody was immediately bred back to Forevermore later that year. And the best part was we asked for a filly from this cross, and we got her the following spring! Click here to go to LSF Morening Glory's page.
Larkyn is the real thing, produced from good breeding stock, and bred to breed on. There is no artifice in his athleticism. It is built in by nature.
Purchased in the fall of 2001 by Wendy Ayers of Morgandy Acres, Larkyn was put into training with Ben Qua. Several months later, at New York Morgan, and only his second show ever, Larkyn brought home tricolors in pleasure saddle and driving, and was Reserve Gr. Ch. Stallion. Not bad for a novice!
