'LILY'
Lily has the beauty, femininity and Morgan type to show in hand, and while
she has not yet had much training (Note: since December of 2004, Lily has
been with her new friend and trainer, Alicia Fraser of Scottfield Stables),
she has excellent ground manners is good with the farrier, and eager to
learn. I feel she would be an excellent mare to outcross to the popular
Nocturne/In Command stallions, since she brings together the best of government
breeding, an outstanding heritage of performance horses, and her beauty,
all in one pretty nice package!

UVM Tennyson is one of the fine stallions bred by and standing at the UVM Morgan Horse Farm. He is a proven sire of in hand winners, siring several of the top winning weanlings in the NYSMHS Breeders Sweepstakes in the last decade, and many successful performance and show horses that possess both Morgan type and beauty and intelligence.
Lily's beauty, structure, and Morgan type are unmistakable under saddle: her
gorgeous, feminine head, with large expressive eyes and a tiny muzzle,
is made even more elegant when draped with a dash of silver....her neck
set with good shoulder angle are very comfortable in the western frame
as well. She posesses a nice round body, well proportioned, and has a good
length of hip and a high tail set. As to her mane and tail, they are copious:
her mane is already down past her shoulder, and her tail almost drags the
ground! Her legs and feet are excellent, strong and with good bone.
Lily is giftted with a naturally comfortable jog, which will no doubt catch
the eyes of the judges when she enters the ring, wearing her smart new
western outfit, tastefully adorned with touches of silver! With one show
under her belt, and with one coming up (the NY Morgan Regional in September
2005) she has all the apptitude, disposition and eye-candy appeal for sucessful
competition in the western frame.

A Truly Classic Morgan Mare

Here is a power packed pedigree if there ever was one!
Lily's sire, UVM Tennyson, has a proven track record, producing not only in hand winners at 'A'
rated Morgan shows, but top quality show horses that can do it all! His
sire was the winning park horse, Equinox Benn Adam, and his grandsire,
Bennfield's Ace, the first Morgan World Champion in hand stallion and a
legendary park horse. UVM Tennyson's dam lines are equally strong: Waseeka's
Charm was the daughter of Seneca Sweetheart, who also produced Windcrest
Delight, Windcrest Sentimental Lady,Windcrest Donfield, and Windcrest Sensation.
Windrest Delight went on to produce Windcrest Musicman, Waseeka's Killarney,
Waseeka's Moonshot, Waseeka's Joy, and Waseeka's Moonshot.
Lily's dam , Bohemian Rhapsody, was sired by White Rock's Caliopy, a NYSMHS Gr Ch Stallion , a winning park horse, and is out of Zippity Doo Dah, who was sired by the inimitable park horse, Saddleback Supreme, a superb athlete and sire of many talented horses. Lily's maternal granddam, Saddleback Symphony, is the dam of Philharmonic (sired by Saddleback Supreme) and is also the dam of The Phantom of the Opera and She's Moonstruck, one of our most valued broodmares, who produced our LSF Fortunate Son.
LSF Lady of Shalott
We have decided to keep two previous daughters of UVM Tennyson out of our Immortal Command mare, and thus we are willing to part with this lovely mare.....full of potential, and with a great future ahead of her!
LSF Lady of Shalott got her name from one of the most beautiful poems written by Alfred Lord
Tennyson: The Lady of Shalott, 1842. If you would enjoy reading the poem,
which is very accessible even to those who profess to not enjoy poetry,
here is a link to both the poem, and a discussion of its elements.:
