chestnut mare f. 1992

'Lucy' was purchased by us in 1997 primarily to be my riding horse, but as so often the case, changes in life and work lessened my riding time, so we decided to breed her, and being a fan of the Brunk lines, and more specifically the grand stud Beamington, we chose Forevermore. Although an outcross, we felt that phenotypically, the sire and dam would complement each other nicely. Additionally, Forevermore had a proven record as a sire of prominance in the Morgan world, having produced over a number of years both World and regional champions, as well as Morgans of fine type and good disposition.

That Lucy could produce a good foal for us was our hope, regardless of whether it was a colt or filly. Certain it would be chestnut, we waited until late July 1999 when Lucy presented us with a bright red colt with a tiny star high up on his forehead. In honor of his paternal grandsire, and in hopes that he would follow the same footsteps, we named him 'ACE', after the incomparable Bennfield's Ace, one of the most spectacular Park horses to have ever graced the Morgan showring, as well as the first 'World Champion' in hand Morgan stallion.
