Chrissy has one of the most beautiful Morgan heads you will find, with large kindly eyes, and a refined sculpted look............ She has a loving disposition to match her beauty. She is very correctly conformed, has good legs and feet, and an elegant way of going........ She is a dark chestnut, stands an honest 14.3 with short feet, and has been trained to ride and drive in 2003, although she has been on vacation since last summer........Chrissy has a sensitive nature and is very intelligent and willing.

Chrissy has all you could want in a Morgan: beauty, loving disposition, intelligence, and an outstanding trot like her sire and maternal grandsire, both of which have proven to sire winners in the showring themselves. She is a young mare that with more training could easily go into the ring and do very well either as a ladies English Pleasure mount, or as a ladies pleasure driving horse. She has an exuberant attitude at liberty and her trot is strong, well cadenced, high and balanced---and she has hocks to match! Once her show ring career is finished, Chrissy has all the potential in the world to be a producer of show or pleasure horses herself.

is a former Park Harness Champion and is a sire of World Champions. Te
is a paternal half brother to Morgana's Westwood, a well known World Champion
Park Harness horse. And to top it all off, Te's maternal grandsire was
one of the top winning park harness horses in his day!
Chrissie's dam, Merwin Madonna (sorry, no photo available), is also the dam of the late, great Forevermore, sired by World Champion Park Harness horse Beamington. Forevermore was consistantly one of the top Morgan sires in the country, and no other son of Beamington can claim as many World champions to his credit. Forevermore produced winning horses in every division, and his legacy may be entrusted to one of the last of his get, LSF Fortunate Son, foaled in 1999, owned by and standing here at Ladyslipper Farm.
Chrissy is like a fine tuned sports car.....elegant, beautiful to look at, and when you want go...you have it! She is a hot little number with a sweet disposition. She would be an excellent ladies or jr ex prospect in EP....come see her!

'Chrissy' is a lovely, beautiful, well-bred mare with outstanding gaits and a people-oriented personality and conformation that bespeaks 'Morgan', as well it should when you take a look at her ancestors!....When visiting my farm, a noted and highly Morgan trainer/breeder exclaimed that 'this mare is park material!' but my work load was heavy and the pay too light to put her into the kind of training program I wanted for this special girl.....So, for spring 2006, Chrissy has a surprise in her future......

Chrissy has an elegant way of moving and loves to be snorty and show herself....light on her feet, quick as a cat, and very feminine....and all Morgan!

Sometimes...........you can plan all you want, and little bumps in the road make you change your route.... such is what happened with our planned breeding for this lovely mare: intended to be bred to Nashboro Gallant Lad, because of timing issues, we switched that breeding to our She's Moonstruck (who is now safely in foal to him for a guaranteed palomino), and bred Chrissy to our LSF Fortunate Son (son of She's Moonstruck).
The charismatic and handsome stallion
LSF FORTUNATE SON
LSF FORTUNATE SON has a proven record as a sire for us, producing Morgans with intelligence, smooth and athletic gaits, beauty with type and elegance and charisma. Perhaps there is a palomino foal waiting for SMS Christena in 2007?

(The photo was taken from a video shot at the indoor arena in winter)

Needless to say, we are very excited about the foal from SMS Christena and LSF Fortunate Son, and are certain that whether colt, or filly, it will fulfill it's genetic heritage of fine form and conformation, with elegant Morgan type and a showy way of going. ...........If you are interested in an affordable Morgan foal, in dark chestnut, who will be beautiful to admire, have an animated trot, a people oriented personality, the intelligence and willingness to work with you and be your friend all along the way, contact us soon, for this foal promises to be special in every way! We will consider selling the foal in utereo to the right home for $5000. AND remember, the foal is elegible for both the Michigan and New York Morgan Futurities in 2007! Post showing, this Morgan should be a candidate for breeding, considering its admirable ancestry!
